Antonio Chase “Pudge” Dardie June 16, 2009 – December 7, 2024
Antonio Chase Dardie, affectionately known as “Pudge,” passed away suddenly on December 7, 2024, at the age of 15. Born on June 16, 2009, in Akron, Ohio, Pudge was a bright, curious, and loving young man who touched countless lives with his energy, kindness, and vibrant spirit.
A dedicated student, Pudge excelled in school, consistently earning honor roll and leaving a lasting impression on his teachers and classmates. His teachers often spoke of his intelligence and the inspiration he brought to the classroom, with one even honoring him as a character in her book. Outside of school, Pudge loved spending time outdoors, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
Pudge had a heart of gold and a deep love for his family, especially his younger cousins, nieces, and nephews, whom he adored. He shared a special bond with his sister, Caleeah, and cherished every moment with his parents.
He is survived by his parents, Cleo and Anthony Dardie; siblings, Caleeah Dardie, Tiona Wade, and Anthony Dardie Jr.; grandparents, Deborah Griffin (Greg), Dona and Demetrius Coleman, and Kevin Bell; great-grandmothers, Cleo Buckner and Delores Bell; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pudge’s life, though brief, was full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His bright spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at noon at Wilkinson Funeral Home, 1158 S Arlington St, Akron, OH 44306. Calling hours are from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
