Charlena Haynes

Charlena Marie Carr Haynes

Was born to the late Charles and Anna Carr on November 23, 1949. She departed this life on Thursday February 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She attended Akron Public School graduated in 1969 from South High School, Last working at Big Lots.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Haynes September 16, 1992. Charlena was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for over 25 years; she was a member of the choir and served on the sick and shut in committee, food pantry, and vacation bible school.

 Charlena enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, bowling and traveling. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She proceeded in death by husband Jerry, Parents Charles and Anna Carr; sister Elaine Carr-Davis; and grandson Gabriel. She is survived by her loving children Duane (Cheryl), Jeffrey, and LaToya Carr; Sisters Anita Johnson; Varnetta Carr, Sheila Addie and LaDonna Carr, special grandson LeeAndre Carr 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and special friend Jim Portis and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
