Doris E. Thompson, 89, passed away November 9, 2021. She was born on July 12, 1932, in Jacksonville, FL to the late Willie H. and Mamie Bell. She moved to Akron, OH when she was 8 years old. Doris graduated from Garfield High School. She met her late husband Barnie Thompson from Braiden, TN at Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was married for 62 years.

Mrs. Thompson leaves to cherish her memory, brothers; Pastor Charles J. (Thelma) Bell, Allen Bell; sister, Candis (James) Milligan; children, Deborah (Calvin) Dinkins, Michael (Janice) Thompson, Bridgette McClenic, Kerry (Gwendolyn) Thompson, Phillip (Paulette) Thompson; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; uncle, Gene Jones, and a host of family, extended family, and friends.

She is preceded In death by her son, Keith Thompson; daughter, Donna J. Neal; step-mother, Josephine Bell; brothers, Willie H. Bell, Jr., Mark L. Bell and John C. Bell, and son-in-law, David G. McClenic.
