James Ellis

James “Bone” Ellis, 58, left our lives January 8, 2022 after a short battle with Cancer. James was born August 17, 1963 in Greenville, MS. He was an easy going hardworking man who worked the majority of his life in the Food Service Industry as a Cook.

He was preceded in death by parents David and Mary Inez Ellis, brother Reynold Ellis, Grandmother Inez Clark and Father-In-Law Richard Wahid.
James resided in Akron, Ohio with loving and dedicated wife of 24 years Rushanah (Wahid). He was the proud father of daughter Bria White; sons Quakeem (Devanne) Head, Kadir Head and Onaje’ James Ellis. He is survived by sister Diedre Ellis; Aunts Arthra Long and Pearlie Clark. Grandchildren Bryson, Ayden, Carson, Norain, Breon, Keyon and Saint. Mother-In-Law Shareefah Wahid; three brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws special nieces, nephews and a host of loving family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the Inpatient Hospice staff at Summa Akron City Hospital for your compassion and gentle form of care you provided to James. It was greatly appreciated.

Funeral Services will be held under strict COVID protocols on Friday, January 14, 2022 with calling hours at 11 a.m. and service beginning at 12 noon at Wilkinson Funeral Home 1158 S.
