Katie L. Neeley went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2025.
Katie was born in Litroe, Louisiana on May 3, 1953. She attended school in Louisiana, and graduated from Marion High School in 1971. She worked at Akron General Hospital for over 25 years, where she was a part of the housekeeping team. Katie was an exceptional seamstress, who loved to sew clothing for her children when they were younger. Katie truly loved being around her family. Gardening, fishing, feeding the birds, and watching the hummingbirds fly within feet of where she sat on her porch were among some of the other things that Katie really enjoyed.
Katie was the neighborhood mom, and always welcomed you with a warm smile. Katie was preceded in death by her (Husband) Richard L. Neeley, Sr., (Mother) Katie Alford Bibby, (Father) Lucious Frank Bibby, and (Brother) Frankie Bibby.
She is survived by her sister, Gertrude Taylor; brothers Lucious (Lorraine) Bibby, Thomas (Barbara) Bibby, Alton Wayne Bibby, Donald (Denise) Bibby, James (Cheryl) Bibby, and Floyd (Denise) Bibby; children: Richard (Angie) Neeley, Jr.; Angela Neeley; Kevin (Megan) Neeley. Grandchildren: Granddaughters: Asheli Neeley, Amber Neeley, Cheyenne Neeley, and Chevonne Anderson. Grandson: Richard Neeley, III. As well as precious great -grandchildren.
Special love goes out to all her nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law Sylester Neeley, family, and friends!
