Our Beautiful Mother Mary A. Lewis passed peacefully from this world December 7, 2022
Mary was one of the youngest of 10 children born July 16, 1937 to the union of the late Jessie Mae and Roosevelt Spencer Sr. in Lynch, Kentucky.
She attended some schooling at Lynch Colored High school, in Kentucky, and later attended North High school here in Akron, Ohio
She was a hard worker and took on many jobs. But it was the last 2 jobs that she talked about the most. She was a nurse at Hawthorn, mental health hospital, and later worked at Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant where she retired from in 1997.
She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her vegetable and flower gardens, traveling, playing games on her tablet, listening to music, dancing and having fun. She was so kind to everyone, she gave even when she had nothing to give. There are so many lives that have been touched by her and changed for the better. She was a genuine, loving soul that loved life and asked for very little. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Harvey Horsely, Beulah Dunson, Nina Armstrong, and Evelyn Dean. Brothers Roosevelt Spencer Jr., Curtis Spencer, and Eddie Joe Spencer Sr..
Mary leaves to celebrate her life, her 4 children Freddie(Teresa) Shephard Jr., Akron, Ohio Anthony (Denese) Shephard Sr. Shreveport, Louisiana, Marie A.
