Mary Marshall

Mary Lou Agnes Barton Marshall was born March 2, 1937, to Marcus and Pearl Barton Sr. in Asheville, N.C., and passed away peacefully on November 27, 2021.  She will always be the perfect mother and will be immensely missed.

Mary was a 1957 graduate of Stephens-Lee High School in Asheville, NC. She also had possess the gift of playing beautiful notes on the piano. She worked over 35 years at the Hilton Inn Fairlawn.

She is preceded in death by her husband William Roy Marshall Sr.; daughter, Deborah Graves; sister, Essie Weaver; brother’s,Marcus Barton Jr., Carlois Barton, Fred Barton,; Great granddaughter, Mychaila A. Graves,; Grandson, Kevin Marshall,; granddaughter, Yvette (PI) Marshall.; grandson, Garland (Pookie) Marshall. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Cassandra Marks (Jeff); Pamela Hall; Tracey Marshall-Dove (Tony);, son William Marshall Jr., 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; only surviving sibling, Gwendolyn Barton.
