Qiana Monique Barner

Qiana M. Barner went home to be with The Lord on November 25, 2024. Qiana was born October 9, 1978 to Carla Barner and Marquis Hale. 

She was a beloved daughter, mother, niece, sister and friend. 

Qiana was a gentle and caring presence that touched the lives of many. She was skilled with many talents like drawing and cooking. Qiana was reserved but so insightful. She was dependable and always had a soft spot for the underdog. Qiana had a sharp mind – and never forgot a birthday. 

Within her friends and family, Qiana was always ready with a listening ear, wise advice or a generous laugh. 

Qiana was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nora Barner. Qiana leaves to cherish her memory, parents Carla Barner and Marquis Hale; step-father, Jerome Ivery, life partner, Roy Lee Burke, Jr., daughter, Jordan A. Barner; four siblings, Kesha, Shannon (Michelle), Marquis (Deonna) and Patrice; grandfather, Marvin Barner Sr., aunt, Tamarlin Barner., cousins, India, Christian, and Taylor. Along with John “Junie”, Sean and Lance Hale, Olive, Ernie and Nesha Turner and best friend, CeCe Jackson. Qiana also leaves a host of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
