Sherman Milton Sullivan, 72, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in Akron, Ohio. He fought strong. Sherman was born August 27, 1952, to S.B. and Ethel Sullivan in Akron, Ohio. He was a product of Akron Public Schools and attended South High School. Sherman spent many years working hard as a body & fender man/mechanic for Boyer’s Bump Shop in Akron, and most recently worked at Home Auto Salvage. He received the greatest honor of being the best father and grandpa by his loving family. Sherman was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed hanging out with cousins Harold & Jeffrey as well as his Brother-in-Law, David and friend Eddie. He also enjoyed watching old school cowboy movies. Those left to cherish memories of Sherman are his daughters: De’Airra Lawrence and Melody Laster; grandchildren: Donovan A Smith, Davion Lawrence; great grandchild: Armond Gonzalez Smith; siblings: Mary Sullivan, Marilyn Ruffin (David), Brenda (Caldwell) Sullivan, nieces and nephews, along with many, many friends and a large extended family. Sherman is preceded in death by his father S.B. Sullivan Sr, mother Ethel Sullivan, brothers S.B Jr. and Larry, nieces Ethel Veronica Sullivan, LaTracia Sullivan and Charleasea Ty-Sing Turner. Our dad will be dearly missed by family and friends. His family was his pride and joy.
