Susie M. Stephens

Susie Mae Stephens (Davis, Waters), 76, went home to be with the Lord on August 3, 2024. She was born in Burkville, Alabama on July 22, 1948 to the late Annie and Jonas Davis.

The family moved to Akron, Ohio in 1969. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1969. Susie truly loved the Lord and confessed Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Mount Liberty Baptist Church for many years. There, she was a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir and the hospitality team. She worked at Acro Tool and Die for over 30 years as a Press Operator with her twin sister, Clara. Susie loved to cook and spending time with her family. She was generous and loved by many.She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Janie Davis.Susie leaves to cherish her loving memory, sons, Chris (Lisa) Davis of Akron, Ohio and Demetrius Waters of Norfolk, Virginia; sisters, Bernice (Clifford) Millings, Clara (James) Sheppard of Akron, Ohio and Brenda (Clifford) Curtis of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers, Earl (Thelma) Davis and Mack Davis of Akron, Ohio; grandchildren, Jene'e (Dallas Sr,) Gray, Yahna Davis, Darrell Davis all of Akron, Ohio and Saniyah Waters of Norfolk, Virginia; great-grandchildren, My'Ahna Rogers and Dallas Gray Jr. of Akron, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
