Velze (Mosley) O’Donnell

Went to her heavenly home to join her husband on February 26, 2022. Velze lived her entire life in Akron, Ohio. She was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan and Tom Brady fan.
Velze loved music, dancing, and sports. Velze also loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren.
Over the span of her life, Velze worked at Green Cross, Heather Knoll, Manor Care, and the University of Akron.

Velze is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Brian O’Donnell, parents, Luther and Ruth Mosley, Mother in Law; Margaret Jane O’Donnell, brothers Robert Mosley, Luther Mosley and Roger Mosley Sr., sisters Shirley Easter, and Jacqueline Mosley, Cousin Ronnie Claybourne, dear friends James “Boot” Smith and Joyce Thompson.

Velze leaves to cherish her memories and legacy Children: Camilla (Franklin) Lewis, Tara Mosley (Darrell) Gordon Mosley and Dante Mosley Sr. Father-in-Law: Thomas Alfred O’Donnell of PA, Siblings: Juanita (Bill) Boyd; Derrick (Lyvette) Mosley Sr. Sister in Laws: Erma Jean Mosley, Deborah Mosley (Derrick), Beanne Clipper, Farrah O’Donnell, Brother in Laws: Leon Jones (Wendy), and Christopher Jones (Mandy).

Grandchildren: Ryan (Nate) Glenn, Briana (Justin) Lamboy, Franklin Jr, Shannelle, Alexis, Chyan, Brian Jr., Dante Jr., Antonio, Arlo, Taylor, Jasmine, Chyna, Alijah, Rahmil, Maliyah, Makaylah, Madison, and Kai; 21 Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Best Friend for over 60 years Cylla Henderson, The Culp Family, Avereta Buchanan, Robin Wanzo, Joyce Ingram, Mike and Annalisa Williams; Cousin Tommy
Jackson and Nephew Bennie Easter.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Wilkinson Funeral Home, Chief Stephen Mylett, Pastor Roderick Pounds, Pastor Gregory Harrison, Gary and Patricia Wyatt, Tara Cash and Minister Jaland Finney for all their care and concern for our mother/grandmother.

A Celebration of Life calling hours will be from Noon-1:00pm Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Second Baptist Church 690 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44311. Homegoing will follow at 1:00pm. Repass immediately after homegoing at: EANDC (formally East Akron Community House) 550 S. Arlington St. Akron, Ohio 44306.
