Wanetta D. Sherroll was born October 12, 1959 to Corrinne L. Turner and Matt Sherroll in Akron, Ohio. She attended Schumacher Elementary School and graduated from North High School. She was a long-term member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she volunteered in the open kitchen. Wanetta worked as a professional tow motor operator for many years until she decided to change careers and became a home health aide. Her passion for taking care of people was the focus of her life until she suffered a stroke in 2009 forcing her into disability. After becoming disabled she spent most of her time with her grandchildren. Wanetta was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed nurturing her plants, listening to her gospel music and cooking.
